Aroyewun Unveils Official Portrait, Appoints Olowu As Chief Of Staff

The office of the Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has unveiled the official portrait of the council’s Chief Executive Officer, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA)

This was made known in a statement issued on Friday, which also stated that the portrait pronounces the council boss’ “Ona Ogo” agenda magenta colour.

The portrait is expected to replace that of the immediate past Chairman in offices within the secretariat.

The Chairman also announced the appointment of Hon. Wasiu Adedayo Olowu as his Chief of Staff (CoS).

The appointment of the Chief of Staff takes effect from Friday, August 1st, 2025.

Hon. Olowu was educated in UAMC Eleja Primary School, Igbogbo, ZIGS Igbogbo for his secondary school education, and Lagos State University, Ojo, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) Honours in Philosophy. During his National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, assignment, Hon. Olowu worked in the Chairman’s Office, Ifelodun Local Government, Share, Kwara State.

Thereafter, Hon Olowu has been serving Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA in various capacities from 2015. He was Secretary to the Local Government Caretaker Committee, 2015 to 2016. He served as the Councillor for Ward C2, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, from July 2017 to July 2021. During his tenure, he acted as the Majority Leader of the 4th Assembly.

Between April 2022 to July 2025, Hon Olowu served as Supervisor for Tourism and Special Duties; and Supervisor for Environment and Waste Management, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.

The new Chief of Staff has earned many leadership awards and has attended important management, leadership, and governance trainings that will be of immense value in the discharge of his new role.

According to the statement, the Chairman urged the appointee to be forthright and diligent as he wishes him well in his role.
